We were invited to attend the “Spend Less – Smile More” event. We had a great day demonstrating what you could cook from food grown on the allotment. We made Vegetable Soup featuring a white beetroot! Roasted Vegetables in Greek olive oil from a friend’s olive grove in Zakynthos! Dessert was Plum Crumble with wallnuts. We enjoyed both eating our lunch and meeting lots of people including Caitlin Bisknell, Leader of Buxton Council and Emma from the Peak Park Sustainable Development fund.
